Since our inception in 1964, the mission and goal for CPHS was always to provide leading edge training that cannot be found anywhere else and to be the first to forge new paths for the future of hockey.

For years, Canadian Professionals was the first to have NHL players as camp instructors. Players such as Bobby Hull, Dennis Hull, Bobby Leiter, Ted Irvine and Daryl Stanley were all part of the CPHS program, and not forgetting Brett Hull, Randy Gillen and Butch Goring. More recently, Nick Dowd of the LA Kings also trained with CPHS. We were the first to create AAA hockey teams in 1970 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jake Fleming, father of Canada’s Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee and longtime NHL and International coach, Wayne Fleming, started the first group of Pee Wee AAA kids. This team travelled around Canada and the US playing 99 games and never lost once. Others then  followed and voila!  AAA hockey leagues were born. Wayne took over from his Father in 1970 and continued into the 1980’s before moving on to coach at the University of Manitoba. He was an icon in Canadian hockey for over 40 years, mentoring Coaches such as long time NHL Coach, Barry Trotz. Barry was a Player and then Assistant to Wayne at the University of Manitoba before making his way into the NHL. Wayne was one of the greats that grew through hockey in Canada with Coaches such as Dave King, Ken Hitchcock, Andy Murray, Brian Murray and so many more. Perhaps his shining moment of greatness was being a part of the 2000 Team Canada Olympic Gold squad alongside NHL great, Wayne Gretzky.  Many of these relationships and coaching methods were formed through running the world leader in hockey training, Canadian Professional Hockey Schools.

CPHS was also the breeding ground for a number of coaches, from Juniors to College Hockey and the NHL. It all began with Canadian Professional Hockey. Long time NHL player and 4 time Stanley Cup Winner, Butch Goring, was the first ever camper of the week in 1964!

Today we continue the CPHS tradition of forging new paths with our Canadian Professional Goal Scoring Camps. Thinking outside the box, the camp was created by NHL, USHL, NAHL, and College GOALIES! That’s right, Goalies! Who better to know the hardest shots to stop than goalies. The camp was developed by Goalies and is run by top level Player Coaches. This combination is the perfect formula for creating a successful, smarter goal scorer. The camps are run in conjunction with Canadian Professional Goaltending Camps, www.canadianprofessionalgoalieschools.com,  again the perfect combination. Shooters need Goalies and the Goalies need Shooters!

Continuing the CPHS legacy is an honour and it is our mission to carry on what Wayne Fleming started.
